Kayser Memorial Presbyterian Church Member Dies At Age 82

Gloria Jean Gilley Clark, age 82, of 915 Market Avenue, Iron Gate, Virginia died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clifton Forge.

She left her earthly struggles behind and was welcomed home with open arms by her Lord and Savior, loving husband, and adored grandson.

She was born October 4, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Harrison James and Sarah Anna Otenbarger Gilley.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and attended Kayser Memorial Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Taylor "Bill" Clark; a grandson, John Robert Persinger; four brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Kawahna Marie Clark Persinger and husband, Terry Haynes of Iron Gate, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Paul Brokaw and Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
