Obituary for Shirley Dale Parker Shirley Dale Parker
Covington Resident Was West Virginia Native

Mrs. Shirley Dale Parker, age 75, of Covington, Virginia died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was the wife of the late James H. Parker, Sr.

Mrs. Parker was born April 5, 1943 in Wolf Creek, WV, the daughter of the late Raymond Leo Wilson, Sr. and the late Helen Marie Bowyer Wilson.

During her working career, she was employed as a certified nursing assistant.

She is survived by her brother, Raymond L. "Bob" Wilson Jr.; children and their spouses, Donna (Hilton) Lewis, Diana (Kent) Perkins, James (Linda) Parker Jr., Julie (Keith) Atkins, Edie Lane and friend, Jesus Valencia-Palomec; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jackie) Thomas, Jennifer Higdon, James Lewis, Josh (Samantha) Lewis, Jonathan Preston, Candon (Tad) Humphries, Grace Parker and fiance, Hayden Woodward, Jared Higdon and fiance, Shawna Stevens, Anna Preston and friend, Ben Haynes, Amber Parker, Marlee Parker and friend, Koty Wolfe, PV 2 James Michael Parker, Jessica Atkins; great grandchildren, Amara Higdon, Landon Kessler, Mercades Stevens, Edison Thomas and three expected great grandchildren, Baby Lewis, Baby Humphries and Baby Higdon; adopted grandchildren, Ashley Cutlip and C. J. Perkins; brother-in-law, Ward (Causby) Parker; numerous nieces and nephews; and special great grand dog, Parker.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Wiseman and Pastor Frank Sizemore, Jr. officiating.
