Obituary for Otho LeRoy Simmons Otho LeRoy Simmons
Covington Native Was 82nd Airborne Division Jumpmaster, Longtime Pentagon Employee

Otho LeRoy Simmons, age 88, of Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, May 11, 2018.

He was born November 18, 1929 in Covington, Virginia to the late Henry LeRoy Simmons and Julia Belva Saville Simmons.

He served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division as "Jumpmaster" stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and he retired from the Telecommunications Department of the Pentagon after 30 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Freda Cervizgi Simmons in 2010, and two brothers, Edward G. "Jack" Simmons and James Morgan "Jimmy" Simmons.

He is survived by a sister, Rachael Ann Simmons of Clifton Forge, and three nephews, Paul Barnett, Keith H. Simmons, and Edward Lee Roy Simmons.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in Mt. Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S. Kings Highway, Alexandria, VA.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
