Obituary for Ray Hill Morgan Ray Hill Morgan
U. S. Army Veteran Was MeadWestvaco Retiree

Ray Hill Morgan, 74, of Lewisburg, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV.

Ray was born in October 30, 1943 in Glen Ray, WV to the late Sarah Jane Morgan.

During his life Ray decided to serve his country and joined the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany with 82nd Airborne. Later, after attending college, he worked as a welder, pipefitter, and plumber as a maintenance planner for MeadWestvaco.

He attended the First Baptist Church in Fairlea, WV, and was a 32nd Degree Mason with Lewisburg Masonic Lodge #42 AF&AM. Other than his mother, Ray was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Margery Morgan; sister, Brenda Morgan McCarty; twin-brother, Roy Lee Morgan; brother-in-law, Richard McCarty.

Surviving Ray, his loving wife, Wanda Mae Bowyer Morgan of Lewisburg; daughter, Julie Renee Burns of Lewisburg; sons, Gary Everette Morgan and wife, Debbie of Lewisburg, Russell Ray Morgan of Fairlea, Kevin McMillion and wife, Jenny of Lewisburg, and Michael McMillion and wife, Kate of Mechanicsville, VA; nephew, David Lee Morgan of Asbury; nieces, Melanie Morgan of VA, and Sarah Morgan of FL; brother, Danny J. Morgan and wife, Kathy of Panama City, FL; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as a special Christian friend, Raymond Link of Lewisburg.

A visitation will be held to honor Ray's memory on Tuesday evening, May 29, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Pastor Mike Teubert officiating. Entombment will follow services at Rosewood Mausoleum in Lewisburg with military honors and masonic rights.

Pallbearers include Kevin Holliday, Timmy Holliday, Aaron Burns, Michael Burns, Kelly Delph, and Paul Garten.

The family request donations of sympathy be made to the funeral home to offset funeral costs, (Wallace & Wallace, Inc., 884 Jefferson Street North Lewisburg, WV 24901.)
