Charles Michael (Mickey) Gailmard, Jr., 56, of 804 N. Rockbridge Ave., Covington, Virginia died Monday, June 4, 2018.

He was born November 22, 1962 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Charles Michael Gailmard, Sr. and Inez Ganey Galimard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Stamulis.

Surviving are his four sons, Jimmy Purkey of Covington; Josh Purkey and his wife, Katy of Falling Waters, WV; Michael Gailmard and Erika Kincaid of Covington and Brandon Gailmard and Summer Sink of New Castle; his grandchildren, who called him "Pappy", Hannah Purkey, Jackson Purkey, Natalie Purkey, Alennah Purkey, Nicole Purkey, Jemmah Purkey and Nathan Purkey; his sister, Gina Sacket of Mount, NY; Tony Gailmard and his wife, Kimberly of Odenton, MD; nieces and nephews, Lona, Justin, Kristin, Chris, Faith, Dylan and Haley and his longtime companion, Charlene Purkey.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. David Brown officiating.

Following the service his body will be cremated.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
