Donald Lee Carter, 75, of Lexington, Virginia died Friday, June 8, 2018 at his residence.

Born October 19, 1942 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Estelle Thurman Carter and Lennie Dora Kirby Carter.

Donald was a member of Kerrs Creek Baptist Church, and had worked for the Sanitation Department of the City of Lexington for 22 years. He was a life member of Kerrs Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the Forestry Division.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Bane "Patti" Carter; children, Sean C. Carter and Doralee C. Carter; brother, Robert Carter; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at Harrison Funeral Home. There will be no services at this time.
