Collierstown United Methodist Church Member Dies At Age 83

Anna Potter Rhodenizer, 83, of Lexington, Virginia died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born March 23, 1935 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Grover Lewis Potter and Viola Sweet Potter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Clinton Rhodenizer Sr., and daughter, Carolyn Jean King.

She was a member of the Collierstown United Methodist Church and Effinger Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Surviving are her children, Janice Bivens, Lori Parrent and Clinton Rhodenizer II, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Oxford Presbyterian Cemetery by the Rev. Jim Bollinger.

Memorial contributions may be made to Collierstown United Methodist Church at 3998 Collierstown Road, Lexington, VA 24450 and RATS at 712 N. Main Street, Lexington, VA 24450.
