Obituary for Barbara Ann Huffman Barbara Ann Huffman
West Virginia Native Had "A Need To Know"

Barbara Ann Huffman, age 85, of Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, June 19, 2018.

Ms. Huffman was born on November 22, 1932 in Bellepoint, WV, a daughter of Leonidas Jackson and Mary Golden Huffman.

Barbara graduated from Hinton High School in 1950 and moved to Washington, D.C. shortly thereafter, where she worked until 1988 and retired to Clifton Forge to be near family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Bernard Ryan, and Frederick H. Huffman of Hinton, WV, and sister, Rita Jean Brender of Wayne, Michigan.

Surviving is a sister, Sue Leitch of Clifton Forge, Virginia, and brothers, David L. and Linda Huffman of Talcott, WV and L. J. and Becky Huffman of St. Augustine, Florida.

Barbara took great delight in sharing in the love and lives of her nieces and nephews, Becky Kivlin, Fred, Jeff, Bev, Pat, and Marcus Huffman, Greg, Steven, and Thumper Leitch, Lori Morita and Bret Huffman. She was also blessed to have special relationships with 18 great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her friends at Clifton Woods Apartments, especially Tom Oliver.

Barbara attended the Clifton Forge Baptist Church as her health permitted. She delighted in sharing loving bonds with family, relatives and friends. She was kind, considerate, and you could count on her remembering your special occasions with a card or note. She always had a bag of candy and a million questions to be answered – and her reply "Yes, I do have a need to know."

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge is handling the arrangements.
