Covington Homemaker Was Bethesda Church Member, Alleghany County Native

Sandra Gail Redman Jenkins, age 72, of 600 West Main Street, Covington, Virginia died Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at her residence.

She was born September 20, 1945 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Horace Milton Redman and Cecil Irene Jones Redman.

She faithfully served the Lord and was a member of Bethesda Church in White Sulphur Springs, WV.

She was a homemaker throughout her life who loved her family passionately. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Priscilla Redman.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Howard Jenkins; a daughter, Melissa Kelley-Pyle and husband, Christopher; two sons, Troy Jenkins and wife, Dee-Dee, and Donald Kelley; three sisters, Tammie Neff and husband, Steve, Sue Wolfe and husband, Calvin, and Tina Via and husband, Gary; two brothers, Phillip Redman and wife, Becky and Steven Redman, all of Covington; nine grandchildren, Kristina, Taylor, Brandon, Zach, Nicholas, Dillon, Jacob and Sammy, Nick and Kaleigh, and Dakota; seven great grandchildren; and her adopted daughter, Angela Deisher-Travis.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethesda Church, 232 Bob White Lane, White Sulphur Springs.

A family-friend celebration of Sandra's life will be held on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at Bethesda Church. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Bethesda Church Building Fund, 232 Bob White Lane, White Sulphur Springs.
