Obituary for Frank Epperly Correll Frank Epperly Correll
Retired Banker Dies In Lexington

Frank Epperly Correll of Lexington, Virginia, an avid Hokie fan (therefore, an eternal optimist), died on June 22, 2018.

He was born on January 18, 1943 in Christiansburg to Herman and Hazel Correll.

He graduated from Christiansburg High School and Virginia Tech.

In November of 1971, during a stint as an insurance salesman, he met Alice Cox; she did not buy the life insurance, but she was enamored of the salesman - they were married five months later, absolutely thrilling her mother. Frank Jr., appeared six years later.

Throughout the years he was a member of the Kiwanis Club, and served on the boards of United Way, Stonewall Jackson Hospital and Kendal at Lexington.

Following his retirement from a career in banking, he found full-time enjoyment monitoring the golf course with friends, reading history and cheering the Hokies to periodic football glory.

Frank is survived by his wife, Alice, and son, Frank, and a niece, Harriet, and nephew, Guy.

Services will be held at Lexington Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018. The burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, send donations to Rockbridge Christmas Baskets, P. O. Box 1030, Lexington, VA 24450.
