David Wayne Broughman, age 62, of 300 Crossing Lane, Low Moor, Virginia died peacefully at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, June 25, 2018.

He was born February 20, 1956 in Virginia to the late Rinord "Buck" and Juanita Brown Broughman.

He was a draftsman, as well as a member of the Sheet Metal Local 100 Union.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Marie Dant Broughman.

He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Marie Woods of Low Moor; three grandchildren, Shane Michael Woods, Seth Daniel Woods, and Sophie Elizabeth Woods; and his kitty, "BoBo".

The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Regional Hospice.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke, VA with Reverend Doug Hollenbeck officiating. Interment will immediately follow. The family will visit with friends on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
