Obituary for Patricia Sue Napier Hooker Patricia Sue Napier Hooker
Covington Native Worked With Lear Corporation; Was First Christian Church Member

Mrs. Patricia Sue Napier Hooker, age 68, of Covington, Virginia died Monday, July 2, 2018 at LewisGale Medical Center, Salem.

She was the wife of Jerry Ellis Hooker.

Mrs. Hooker was born August 3, 1949 in Covington, the daughter of the late Bernard Tinsley Napier and Edna Counts Napier.

She was a former employee of the Lear Corporation and was a homemaker.

Patricia was a member of First Christian Church.

Mrs. Hooker enjoyed feeding the birds, playing cards and building puzzles for hours at a time. Patricia loved spending time with her grandchildren and especially enjoyed building Legos with them.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hooker is survived by a son, Jerry Ellis Hooker, Jr and wife, Tiffany of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Austin Hooker and Colt Hooker; two brothers, James Napier and wife, Brenda of Covington and Ray Napier and wife, Sherry of Goodview; a sister, Lois Hazen of Waynesboro; and a special niece, Laura Frank of Waynesboro.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hooker was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly Dawn Hooker; three sisters, Linda Kwarziany, Nancy Gray and Shirley Bise; and a brother, Bernard Lee Napier. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service and at the residence, 317 W. Wood Street, Covington, at other times.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, P. O. Box 60, Low Moor, VA 24457.
