Roger Franklin DeBerry Sr. died July 3, 2018.

Roger was born January 28, 1946 in Morgantown, W.Va., the son of Lawrence Edgar DeBerry and Aldona Pearl Sisler DeBerry.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda Reynolds DeBerry; son, Roger F. DeBerry Jr. and wife, Kimberly Hatcher DeBerry; grandchildren, Jasmine, Ariana and Logan DeBerry; brothers, Tom DeBerry, Rodney Allen DeBerry, and Larry DeBerry and wife, Jill; special niece and nephew, Keith and Patricia Tomlin; sister-in-law, Lois Bunch; stepsons, Kevin Hatcher and wife, Tiffani and daughter, Zoe, Keith Hatcher and wife, Christina and children, Gwen and Eli.

He was predeceased by wife, Gloria Jean Moore DeBerry; brother, L. J. DeBerry; and sister, Betty Waynita Martin.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the staff and personnel at the Staunton CBDC for care they gave Roger for the past three years. Also, the staff of Hospice in Lexington.

A funeral will be conducted at Harrison Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, with Kenneth Kurpik officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Harrison Funeral Home.
