Dorothy Owen Albaugh, 98, of Lewisburg, West Virginia passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

She was born May 25, 1920, the daughter of the late William Frederick and Mary Delilah Stidd Owen.

Dorothy was a secretary at the office of the District Superintendent of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, clerk at the Greenbrier Public Service District Office when it was located on Washington Street and a clerk at Winkler's Office Supplies.

She enjoyed gardening and baking, especially pier and cheese bread.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Esten E. Albaugh; a son, Russell Owen Albaugh; and brothers, Johnnie and William Owen.

She is survived by daughter, Jeanette Albaugh, with whom she resided with in Lewisburg; sister, Kathryn McCain and niece, Marilyn McCain, both of Steubenville, OH.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Rosewood Cemetery with Rev. Beth Columbo officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg, WV 24901.
