Greenbrier County Native Dies At Age 62

Michael Enoch Currence, 62, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia passed away on July 10, 2018.

Born March 30, 1956 in Greenbrier County, WV, he was a son of the late Enoch and Wilma Ida Salisbury Currence.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Enoch Currence, Jr., two sisters and several brothers.

Mr. Currence was disabled. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his spouse, Brenda Sue May Currence; daughters, Carol Nanette Currence of White Sulphur Springs and Alicia Shea Ring of Wheeling, WV; stepson, Michael Wayne Permelia of White Sulphur Springs; sister, Carrie O'Dell of Hines, WV; brother, Billy Currence of Baltimore, MD; brother-in-law, James Cliff Kirkendall of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Hat Defibaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Community Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery on Brush Road in Lewisburg.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
