Goshen Native Was Retired U. S. Army Staff Sergeant

Bobby William Wills, age 78, of 430 Sally Ann Drive, Covington, Virginia died Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.

He was born in Goshen, Virginia on August 12, 1939, a son of the late Clarence O. and Mary Elizabeth Kelso Wills.

He was a retired SSGT from the U. S. Army, having served from March 1956 until June 30, 1979. He was also a member of the Curtis A. Smith VFW Post # 1033.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters and four sisters, Betty Smith, Joyce Angle, Marie Robertson, and Sylvia Robertson; and is survived by two special nephews, Glenwood Wills and Henry Franklin Wills; a special niece, Ruby Lee Martin and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge, with the Reverend Lynn Wright officiating. Graveside military honors will be provided by the Curtis A. Smith VFW Post #1033. Interment will immediately follow.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge.
