Linda Sue Massie Smith, 67, of 708 Mount Pleasant Drive, Covington, Virginia died Friday, August 3, 2018 at her residence.

Sue was born October 3, 1950 in Ronceverte, WV, a daughter of the late Othor and Arlena Ramsey Massey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Holcomb, Irene O'Neal Edith Crosier and Effie Harless and one brother, Jerry Massie.

Surviving are her daughter, Angel Tucker, and her husband, David of Covington; her son, Charles Smith and Amanda Tucker of Covington; three grandchildren, Haylee Tucker, Dawson Tucker and Emma Smith; four sisters, Ethel Van Buren of Gap Mills, WV, Lula Wykle of Selma, Dorothy Tucker and Katie Burnette, both of Covington; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Debbie Persinger of Covington and Linda's dear friend, Eva Tucker of Covington.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garland Humphries officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be nephews.

The family will receive their friends Tuesday August 7, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
