Dorothy Jamerson George, 89, of Buena Vista, Virginia died Friday, August 3, 2018 at Augusta Health.

Born June 24, 1929 in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Bennie Jamerson and Nora Gunther Jamerson.

Surviving are her children, Michael D. George, Patricia G. Vaughan, Joseph D. George and Vicky L. Goad; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and sisters, Janis J. Shelton, Phyllis Cash and Marion Cooper.

A graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday, August 6, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Jay Thorne officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
