Larry Alton Deacon, 82, of Lexington, Virginia passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Charles Deacon and Florence Shorter Deacon; and daughter, Kay Deacon Pelton.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Patsy Ann Deacon; son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and Kelli Deacon of Sevierville, Tenn.; grandson, Luke Deacon; aunt, Della Mae Deacon; cousin, Carolyn Looney; and special friend, Gaynelle Higgins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Tabor officiating. Interment will follow in Rapps Mill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan.
