William Campbell, 88, of Fairfield, Virginia died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Shenandoah Valley Health & Rehab Center.

Born September 19, 1929 in Nelson County, he was a son of Oscar W. and Maggie Nora Jane Campbell.

Mr. Campbell was retired from Lanford Brothers Construction.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elderene, and three sons, Chris, Mick and Stuart.

Surviving are his son, Bunky Campbell; his daughter, Anita Slough; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Campbell.

A graveside service will be conducted 4 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Old Providence A. R. Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
