Neva Michele Coats, 56 of Covington, Virginia, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA.

Michele was born June 6, 1962 in Newberry SC, to the late Jack Herman and Norma Colleene Helmintoller Coats.

She was a member of the Alvon United Methodist Church and was a maid at the Greenbrier Hotel.

Michele is survived by a sister, Sonya Mitchell of MS; brothers, Jack Devin Coates and wife, Elizabeth "Sissy" of White Sulphur Springs, Kenneth Brian Coats and wife, Tammy of White Sulphur Springs, Kyle Travis Coats of Pearisburg, VA, Carlton Lee Coats of Covington, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a soon to be great nephew or niece.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Alvon United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert "Bobby" McClintic officiating. Burial will follow at the Mapledale Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
