Sylvia Jean McCormick, 76, of Lexington, Virginia died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at her home.

Born May 11, 1942 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late William Edward Ramsey and Cammie Steele Ramsey.

She was preceded in death by husband, Roy Steele McCormick Jr., and a son, Daryl Edward McCormick.

Sylvia enjoyed animals and very much loved cats.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Greater Vision Pentecostal Assembly in Buena Vista with the Rev. Steve Ramsey officiating.

The family suggests donations be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450.
