Hot Springs Native Was Longtime Lab Tech At Bath Community Hospital

Beverly Ann Burns Keyser, 68, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.

She was born October 10, 1949 in Hot Springs, the daughter of the late Julian Hackman Burns and Opal Pearl Rexrode Burns.

Beverly was employed as a lab tech at the Bath Community Hospital with 47 years of service.

She was a member of Ashwood United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Harold William Keyser, Jr. and special friend, Sharrie Woodzell of Warm Springs, Virginia; a grandson, Chandler William Keyser of Warm Springs; two brothers, Steven Ray Burns and wife, Debbie of McDowell, Virginia & William Burns of Staunton, Virginia; special friends, Harold Keyser, Sr. and Maryann Kerns of Ronceverte, West Virginia; adopted grandsons, Austin Wolfe and Joseph Stover; sisters-in-law, Linda Burns of Covington, Virginia, Joyce Strength of Prattville, Alabama, Ann Keyser of Hot Springs, Virginia, Edna Margo Leach of Verona, Virginia; special friends, Fran Fridley of Hot Springs, Agnes Hodge of Hot Springs and Michelle Kenney of Clifton Forge, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Julian H. Burns, Tommy Burns and Donald Lee Burns.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Baek and Reverend Lynn Wright officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.
