Retired GCA Services Employee, Was Lexington Native, Faith Baptist Church Member
James Edward (Red) Robinson, 65, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia died Friday, September 14, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 16, 1953 in Lexington, he was a son of the late Katherine Gordon Robinson.
James attended Faith Baptist Church and retired from GCA Services. Red loved to hunt and fish.
Surviving are his wife, Mary G. Robinson; stepdaughters, Ashley Clark and fiance of Stuarts Draft, and Kaylin Wilson (Jeffery); three step-grandchildren; brother, Timothy Wayne Robinson of Lexington; sisters, Diana Reid and Debbie Kidd, both of Buena Vista, and Doris Short of Max Meadows; and several cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Bostic officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
