Roger Lee Clark, 73, of Scottsville, Virginia died Monday, September 17, 2018 at University of Virginia Hospital.

Born January 25, 1945 in Lexington, he was a son of the late Clarence McKinley Clark and Alva Floyd Clark.

Roger loved to bear hunt and was a big fan of the New York Yankees. He was instrumental in starting little league football in Buena Vista and was a coach for little league for 20 years. He was a member of the USSSA Hall of Fame, attended Fox Memorial Baptist Church and retired as a residential technician for Embarq.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Elisha (Perry), Hazel, Warren and Isabelle, and granddaughter, Hailey Clark.

Surviving are two sons, Troy Clark and wife, Lisa, and Joey Clark and wife, Morgan; five grandchildren, Ashley, Cole, Allison, Nicholas and Natalie; one great-grandchild, Kinsley; fiance, Kathy Smith and sons, Derek and Adam; brothers and sisters, Elijah Clark, Clarence Clark Jr., Lewis Clark, Charlie Clark, Naomi Nuckols, Carrie Mason and Ann Brock; and canine children, Kaitlyn and Jasmine.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 21, at Harrison Funeral Home.

A private service will be held at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
