Isaac (Ike) Jenkins Humphries Jr., 88, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Havenwood Assisted Living.

Born December 14, 1929 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Isaac Jenkins Humphries Sr. and Cecil Tomlinson Humphries.

Isaac was also preceded in death by his wife, Beryl Sizeland Humphries; brother, Freddie Humphries, and sisters, Faye Humphries and Romelda Humphries.

He was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren and a life member of the Lexington Rescue Squad.

Surviving are his children, Mike Humphries (Sally), Rick Humphries, Beth Fichel (John), Jan Davis, and Debbie Stats (Larry); 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Humphries, and sister, Mary Buchanan; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Elwood Shafer, Sharon Knick and Cheryl Hickman.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 27, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
