Donald Norwood Scott, 69, of 1025 Dolly Ann Dr., Covington, Virginia died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Scott was born March 1, 1949 in Covington, the son of the late Brett and Lula Reynolds Scott.

Donald was a former electrician with Hercules Inc. and retired as an installer for the former CFW Telephone Company.

He was a member of First Christian Church, where he participated in missionary work. He was a former member of the Virginia National Guard and was a Life Member of the Covington Fire Department and Rescue Squad.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Meadows Scott of Covington; two sons, Chris Scott and his wife, Brittany of Roanoke and Greg Scott and his wife, Rita of Clifton Forge; his daughter, Kim Behrens and her husband, Curt of Roanoke; six grandchildren, one great granddaughter; two sisters, Evelyn Knick and her husband, Jack of Kimberly, WI and Nancy Simmons and her husband, Sonny of Covington; two brothers, Harrison Scott and his wife, Becky and Marvin Scott and Peggy Urban, all of Covington; his beloved dog, Jesse Girl, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday September 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating assisted by Beaver Terry.

Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home.
