Obituary for Perry Alvin Wiseman Perry Alvin Wiseman
Former Hercules Machine Operator Was Faith Baptist Church Member

With tears in our eyes we have a celebration to announce. After serving his Lord for many years at his earthly home, Perry Alvin Wiseman has crossed the boundary to his heavenly home.

His last few years were tough at times, but with that smile of his you couldn't tell. That smile will remain in the memories of his family and friends he leaves behind.

He is preceded in death by one sister, Crystal Huffman; four brothers, John Wiseman, Howard Wiseman, Raymond Wiseman, and Denver Wiseman.

He will be sadly missed.

Mr. Wiseman was born in Summers County, WV, the son of the late Perry Alexander Wiseman and Margaret Ann Thompson Wiseman.

Perry worked as a machine operator for the former Hercules Inc.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was heavily involved in the church, was a member of the quartet "Freedom Aires", was an avid WVU fan and was very family-oriented, and loved his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are a daughter, Pam Breeding and husband, Jerry of Troutville; two sons, Mark Wiseman and wife, Jenny and Rick Wiseman and wife, Kathy, both of New Castle; eight grandchildren, Matthew Wiseman and wife, Janice, Brian Wiseman, all of New Castle; and Ashley Figgins and husband, Shane and Sarah Breeding, all of Troutville; Stephanie James, Kirsten James, Elizabeth James and Michael James; three great grandchildren, Haley Wiseman and Courtney Wiseman, both of New Castle, and Katherine Figgins of Troutville; two sisters, Wanda Dillon of McConnelsville, OH and Naomi Payton of Medina, OH; his spouse, Betty Wiseman; a stepdaughter, Linda Cartwright and husband, Garth; two step grandchildren, Melanie Schell and husband, Barry, and Lindsay Cartwright and fiance, Amber Nicely; three step great grandchildren, Brycen, Carter, Oakley Cartwright; a number of nieces and nephews, and a special thanks to Carrington Place of Daleville and the Sunshine Girls.

The funeral service will be Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Wiseman officiating.

The family will receive their friends Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

The interment will be made at 2:30 p.m. in the Valley View Memorial Cemetery with graveside rites.
