Carl Anthony (Tony) Moore (aka) Bigdog, 59, of Buena Vista, Virginia died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his home.

Born August 16, 1959 at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska, he was a son of Carl E. Moore of Buena Vista and Eva Talbert of Staunton.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Moore, and his stepfather, St. Clair Talbert, whom he considered his "Papa."

Tony was a member of the Lauderdale A. R. Presbyterian Church and was an avid Hot Wheel collector with his best friend, Kenneth Hyden.

In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife, Robin Hartless Moore; daughters, Tamara Foxx (Daniel) and Jennifer Hamilton; three grandchildren, Isabel, Preston and Eva, and sister, Kathy Cave (Tony) of Briery Branch.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Timber Ridge ARP Cemetery with the Rev. Benjamin Dowling officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450.
