Obituary for Lynuell Keith Prewitt Lynuell Keith Prewitt
Temple Baptist Church Member Was Covington Resident

Lynuell Keith Prewitt, of 209 Ridgewood Circle, Covington, Virginia went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2018 after an extended illness.

He was 76.

Mr. Prewitt was a member of the Temple Baptist Church.

Mr. Prewitt was born May 23rd, 1942, in Beckley, WV, the son of the late Finley and Pearl Prewitt Prewitt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kelly Warren Prewitt.

After high school, Keith joined the United States Air Force and served for four years, specializing in electronics. After the service, he was employed as a computer programmer for MeadWestvaco in Covington, Virginia for 42 years. After retirement, Keith developed a love for woodworking; he set up shop in his garage and built numerous pieces of furniture. For years, he owned only Chevrolets, once including a red Corvette convertible; he had previously been a member of a Corvette Club. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Washington Nationals, having traveled to Washington, DC, to attend many games.

Surviving are his wife of nearly 28 years, Deanna Lee Harvey Prewitt of Covington; two sisters, Nancy Ward and her husband, Harold of Daniels, WV, and Ruth Harbour and her husband, Shelby of Mocksville, NC; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Prewitt of Roanoke, VA; one son, Kevin Keith Prewitt of Covington; one stepdaughter, Karen Biederman and husband, Dan of Ellicott City, MD; two stepsons, James McMorrow and wife, Dana of Leesburg and Steven McMorrow and Tracey Carter of Frederick, MD; two grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

The funeral service will be held Monday, October 29, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hartsfield officiating.

The family will receive their friends following the service at Arritt Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial donations in his name be made to Temple Baptist Church, 300 Stratton Street, Covington, VA 24426.
