Jennarae Nicole Goodbar, born June 14, 2006 in Lexington, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 in an accidental tragedy with her beloved hunting dog, Cash "Cashiemomo."

Jennarae is survived by her mother, Donna Stuples; her father, Dennis Goodbar; her stepmother, Tabetha Goodbar; brother, Nathan Rion Goodbar; grandparents, Myra and Wayne Stuples; aunt, Samantha Stuples; cousin, Jackson Moore; grandparents, Timothy and Emogene Goodbar; great-grandmother, Peggy Raether; uncle, Timothy Goodbar Jr.; and cousins, Cooper Goodbar and Stella Goodbar.

She was greeted in heaven by great-grandparents, Grammy Goodbar, Ernie and Hope Rion and Dorothy and Marvin Stuples, great-uncle, Danny Goodbar and cousin, Olivia Goodbar.

Jennarae was a sixth grade student at Maury River Middle School. She never met a stranger and has many friends who love her unconditionally: Zada Wilson, Mackenzie Gladfelter and Morgan Martin were just a few of her closest friends. Lee Chittum, son of Jessica and Gregory Chittum, was Jennarae's first middle school sweetheart. They thought the world of each other and shared the love of hunting. She loved all of her friends so much and we want them all to remember that.

Jennarae should be remembered as the country girl who was always smiling, never negative, could go from wearing cowboy boots and pants to a dress with Converse in a split second. She loved her family, she loved her friends, she loved her dogs, her cats, her guinea pig and her bear hunting and softball families. She loved to dance, she loved her music, she loved hunting, but bear hunting was her favorite and she loved to play softball. She killed her first bear on youth day in 2017. She had two of her own hunting dogs, Cash "Cashiemomo" and Lucky.

Jennarae was loved by so many, there are so many people who we can't even begin to name, but just know that she did never met a stranger and she loved everyone so dearly.

Family and friends will gather Friday, November 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be as follows: Saturday, November 3, a service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Harrison funeral home, followed by a graveside service at Kerrs Creek Baptist Church. After the graveside service, family and friends will gather at Kerrs Creek firehouse to celebrate the life of Jennarae Goodbar.

Her family has asked that any and all bear hunters or coon hunters who would like to participate in leading Jennarae to her final resting place to meet at the Harrison's funeral home at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 3.

In lieu of flowers and donations, a memorial fund has been set up at CornerStone Bank. Proceeds will go to The Well Pet Group in Lexington to help bear hunters with emergency vet costs.
