Obituary for Edward Arnold (Eddie) Dudley Edward Arnold (Eddie) Dudley
U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran Was Westvaco Retiree, Rich Patch Union Church Member

Edward Arnold (Eddie) Dudley, age 69, of 8101 Rich Patch Road, Covington, Virginia died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his residence.

He was born March 9, 1949 in Alleghany County to the late Orville Eli Dudley and Lillian Forbes Dudley.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and worked at Westvaco on the paper machines.

Eddie was also a former VFW Member and a member of Rich Patch Union Church.

He enjoyed farming, the outdoors, and drag racing with his brother along with spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Leesa Marie Sanders Dudley of Covington; a daughter, Christy Sparks and husband, Cory of Covington; a brother, John Dudley and wife, Betty of Covington; a sister, Patsy Waddell and husband, Buddy of Troutville; two grandchildren, Cooper Eli Nicely and Corbin Edward Sparks; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Sandifer officiating.

Friends may visit with the family an hour before the service at Nicely Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, JDRF 26 Broadway, 14th floor New York, NY 10004.
