Longtime Nicely's Exxon Station General Manager Dies At Age 74

Marshall Alexander Puckett, Sr., age 74, of 750 Palace Boulevard, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, November 26, 2018 at his residence.

He was born September 5, 1944 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late George William Puckett and Doris Helen Ayers Puckett.

For thirty-eight years, he served as the General Manager for Nicely's Exxon in Clifton Forge, and he never met a stranger.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Leslie Puckett in 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Lieble Puckett of Clifton Forge; two sons, Marshall A. "Mark" Puckett, Jr. and wife, Erica of Covington, and Wayne Eric Puckett of Roanoke; a sister, Martha P. Farley of Clifton Forge; a brother, George Robert Puckett of Dublin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Pastor John Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
