Obituary for Carl (Eddie) Bryant Carl (Eddie) Bryant
Longtime Truck Drive Was NASCAR Fan, Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Member

Mr. Carl (Eddie) Bryant, age 70, of Falling Spring, Virginia died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Brian Center Nursing Care-Alleghany, Low Moor.

Mr. Bryant was born November 6, 1948 in Greenbrier County, WV, the son of the late Dave McKinley Bryant and Mary Susie Brown Bryant.

Carl was employed as a truck driver by Mountain Waste and later on by Alleghany Asphalt, where he thought a great deal of Josh Johnston and John Franson.

Mr. Bryant was an avid NASCAR fan, who enjoyed watching all the races and cheering on his favorite driver, Kevin Harvick.

He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

The last surviving member of his immediate family, Mr. Bryant is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including Jennifer King and husband, Leonard, Vicky Ehster, Debbie Fox and husband, Charles and Keith Bryant; great nephew, Shawn Bryant and wife, Crissy; great-great nephew, Kingston "Hot Rod" Burgess; extended family including, Delores Thomas, Danny and Michelle Austin, Kelly Rock and boyfriend, Brian McKinnell, Nathan and Brittany Arbaugh, Colton and Nora; and special friends, Tom Nickell, Mary Buckland, John and Mae Helmintoller.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by two brothers, Maxie Don Bryant and Clifford M. Bryant and five sisters, Anna R. Hamrick, Naomi Holiday, Margaret J. Parker, Nancy Martin and Leta Redden.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Grassy Meadows Gospel Lighthouse, Grassy Meadows, West Virginia with Rev. Butch LeGrand officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at Grassy Meadows Lighthouse Church. Interment will follow in McElhenney Cemetery, Grassy Meadows, WV.
