Billie Jean Tomlinson Sizer, 75, of Rockbridge Baths, Virginia, wife of Gary W. Sizer, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born April 29, 1943 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Sarah Niece Tomlinson.

Billie Jean "B.J." married Gary Sizer on October 13, 1985. She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Rockbridge Baths, where she had sung in the choir.

In addition to her father, who died in 1985 and her mother who died in 2013, she was predeceased by infant grandson, William Gardner in 2005.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Tony Gardner of Buena Vista and Charlie Gardner of Fort Defiance; stepdaughters, Melissa Lewis of Stuarts Draft and Rachel Williams of Tacoma, Wash.; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Sandra Austin of Fishersville; and a brother, Jack Tomlinson.

Before her retirement, she worked in offices at Southern Seminary College (now Southern Virginia University) in Buena Vista and later the Virginia Horse Center Foundation in Lexington.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 17 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Fred Noll and Rev. Sheldon Sorrels officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
