Helen Margaret Coward, 100, of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Christiansburg, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

Born July 29, 1918 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late David William McGowan and Irene May Conner McGowan.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Coward, Sr.; two sons, Carl McGowan and Clarence W. Coward, Jr.; one sister, Elizabeth McGowan; and one grandchild.

Surviving are her daughter, Darlene Coward; one grandchild; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Monroe Hedrick. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
