Obituary for Nancy Eliza Starks Young Nancy Eliza Starks Young
West Virginia Native Was High Bridge Presbyterian Church Member

Nancy Eliza Starks Young, age 84, of Natural Bridge, Virginia began her life eternal on Friday, January 4, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born in Beard, West Virginia, on December 13, 1934, a daughter of the late Harry H. and Mary Boblett Starks.

Nancy was a member of High Bridge Presbyterian Church.

Preceding Nancy in death was Allen, her husband of 65 years; a sister, Ruth King; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Young. Surviving are three sons, Bob Young (Amy), Donald Young (Linda) and Danny Young; and two daughters, Cheryl Dameron (Darold) and Peggy Powell (Johnnie). Nancy is also survived by a sister, Libby Dalton, a brother, Edgar Starks, twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She valued nieces, nephews, friends and family members, who created many fond memories for her.

Nancy cherished her role of taking care of her family. She will be forever missed by her five children who loved and adored their Mom. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mom and nanny.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory. The funeral will be conducted at High Bridge Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 by the Rev. Jason Grimes. Burial will be private.

The family would like to thank all the special caregivers for the wonderful care she received at Blue Ridge Christian Homes in Raphine. She valued each and every employee and resident as part of her extended family.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
