Anne Lackey Morgan, 68, of Fairfield, Virginia died January 13, 2019.

She was born March 15, 1950 in Bristol, Virginia, the daughter of Robert Gilmore Lackey and Margaret Luella Heizer, both of Rockbridge County, Virginia.

The child of military parents, she traveled all over the country, living in Virginia, Massachusetts, Maryland, California, Hawaii, North Dakota and Nevada, before settling in Florida.

She was a graduate of the Red River High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and attended the University of North Dakota. She was employed by Kmart in Florida in numerous capacities, including assistant store manager, for more than 37 years.

Following her retirement in 2010, she moved to Fairfield, where she was living at the time of her death.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Thomas Morgan. She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Michelle Morgan, and by her brother, R. Douglas Lackey and family, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church in Lexington conducted by the Rev. Patrick Lanaghan. Burial will follow at Timber Ridge A.R.P. Cemetery.
