Walter Moore Williams, Jr., 71, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Hot Springs, Virginia.

He was born December 8, 1947 in Hot Springs, Virginia, the son of the late Walter Moore Williams, Sr. and Lona Catherine Robertson Williams.

Walter was retired from CSX after 30 years as an electrician and laborer. He loved to fish, hunt, and travel.

He is survived by his sister, Amelia Anne Williams and husband, Billy of Natural Well, Virginia; and a good friend, Howard Kipp of Hot Springs.

Walter was preceded in death by a step-brother, Charles "Bunny" Williams.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Gram officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Cale, David Lindsay, Georgie Lindsay, Randy Robertson, Howard Kipp, and Ray Shifflett.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
