Obituary for James Eugene Green James Eugene Green
U. S. Army Veteran Was Heavy Equipment Technician

James Eugene Green, 81, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Brandywine Hall in West Chester.

He was born May 7, 1937 in Hot Springs, Virginia, the son of the late William Taft Green and Ethel Mae Whitecotton Green.

On the 23rd of September 1960, he married his wife, Peggy Marie Gray Green. The couple would share 58 beautiful years together.

Mr. Green was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during the Cuban Crisis. He retired from the army as a heavy equipment technician.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Green of West Chester; two children, David Eugene Green of West Chester, Donna G. Williams of Malvern, Pennsylvania; a grandchild, Leslie Cameron Fitzgerald Williams of Malvern; two brothers, William "Willy" Green and wife, Suzanne of Hot Springs, Virginia, Charlie Green and wife, Shirley of Covington, Virginia; a sister, Annabelle Chestnut and husband, Berlie of Hot Springs.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Billy Ronk officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or Michael J. Fox Foundation.
