Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Member Dies At Age 84

Mary Sue Plymale Woodson, 84, of 526 E. Kline St., Covington, Virginia died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Woodson was born January 19, 1935 in Bellpoint, WV, the daughter of the late George and Trusby Taylor Plymale.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters,Nancy Craft and an infant sister, and a brother, George Plymale.

Mary Sue was a member of the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She was a child care provider and loved to shop and play bingo.

Surviving are her daughter, Denise Bennett and husband, Charles of Rocksboro, NC; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Paxton and husband, David of Arizona; a brother, Danny Plymale of Clifton Forge, a sister-in-law, Judy Thompson of Montana; a number of nieces and nephews; two close friends, Velda Craft and Evie Parr, and two special caregivers, Lori Nuckols and Jeannie German, and her precious fur baby, "Muffin".

The funeral service will be held Monday, January 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Arritt Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Richpatch Road, Covington, VA 24426 or Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
