Ponsella Frances Sensabaugh, M.D., 93, of Lexington, Virginia died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Heritage Hall.

Born August 28, 1925 in Virginia, she was a daughter of Alvin Gardner Goodbar and Polly Mae Clark Goodbar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Palmer Goodbar. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a member of Collierstown Presbyterian Church, and retired as a cafeteria worker for Lexington City Schools.

Surviving are her children, Karen Ruley, Pat Gilmore and Allen Goodbar, all of Lexington; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Luther Witt and the Rev. Dean Staton. Burial will follow at Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery.

Friends may gather with family for one hour prior to the services.
