Shawn Dowdy, 42, of Lewisburg, West Virginia passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

Shawn was born November 27, 1976 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, a son of James Allen Dowdy and the late Cynthia Elaine Poe Dowdy.

Shawn was a chef and former bottling manager at Smooth Ambler.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda Jean Dowdy of White Sulphur Springs; daughters, Trista Graham and companion, Joey of Rainelle, Devan Griffith and companion, Josh of White Sulphur Springs; Avriana Dowdy of Ronceverte; sons, Gavin Dowdy, Ayden Dowdy and Avett Walker, all of White Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Jayce, Ellipsis, Koda, and Eli; father, James Allen Dowdy and companion, Velda McClung of Lewisburg; sister, Shayla Dowdy of Lewisburg; brother, Doug McClung of Lewisburg; step-brother, John and stepsister, Angie, both of Caldwell; nieces and nephews, Gracie McCoy, Gabriel McCoy and Drew McCoy; step-nieces and nephews, Walker, L.J., Clayton, Emily, Hayley and Layla.

Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, February 22, 2019 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

Cremation and a Celebration of Life service will follow at a later date.
