Michael Dean O_Dell, Sr., 65, of Lewisburg, West Virginia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a long illness.

Born on March 19, 1953 at Richwood, he was the son of George and Molona Trout O'Dell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Miranda Mae O'Dell; two sisters, Thelma Jane O'Dell and Alma Rader; two brothers, Dennis George O'Dell and Arden Levi O'Dell.

Michael was a U. S. Army veteran; he loved and was very proud to serve his country.

After meeting the love of his life, Eva, they made their home in Lewisburg and raised their family.

Michael worked as a security officer at Alleghany Campground and the Greenbrier Valley Mall. He loved to fish, loved Nascar, loved life and had a heart of gold.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Eva Dahmer O'Dell of Lewisburg; two sons, Michael Dean O'Dell II, Brandon Lee (Tiffany) O'Dell, both of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Kaden, Gunnar, Payton and Miranda, all of Lewisburg; one brother, Steve O'Dell of Summersville; many nieces and nephews.

The service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with Rev. Troy George officiating. Burial will follow at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, with military honors.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral chapel.
