Mr. Dean Abshuer (Dean-o) Webb, age 50, of Covington, Virginia died Sunday, February 24, 2019 at LewisGale Hospital, Salem.

Mr. Webb was born March 5, 1968 in Bath County, the son of the late Winfred L. Webb and Roberta Walton Webb.

Dean was reared in Bath County and attended Bath County Public Schools. During his working career, he had been employed with the Crisso Plant in Goshen and at Alleghany Motors Company for twenty years.

Dean had attended the Church of God of Prophecy.

Mr. Webb is survived by his cat, Midnight; his brother, Lynwood "Avery" Webb and wife, Maggie of Covington as well as Bert Webb and wife, Terry and Mike Givens, whom he thought of as brothers; two sisters, Tammy Puffenbarger of Ash, N.C. and Rhonda Mayberry and husband, Jerry of Covington; uncle, Woody Webb and Janice Webb of Hot Springs; aunt, Janet Craft of Covington; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; numerous neighbors and friends including Gary Wolfe, "Boota" Clark, Ricky McCully and special friend, Larry Deacon.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Webb was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Phillips in 2016; a brother, Steven Ashuer Webb in 2017; a niece, Stacy Webb Hartless in 2012; his paternal grandparents, Roscoe Stevenson Webb, Violet Webb Smith; maternal grandparents, Julian B. Walton and Mamie Tucker Walton.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
