Scherry McCormick Bostic-Shaffer, 61, of Lewisburg, West Virginia passed away Wednesday February 27, 2019 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

Scherry was born November 15, 1957 in Ronceverte, the daughter of Elzie H. and Gladys Shires McCormick.

She was of the Baptist Faith, a former member of the Ronceverte Lions Club and worked as a comptroller with District 9 of the WV Department of Highways.

Surviving include her husband, Robert D. Shaffer; son, Justin Bostic and wife, Courtney of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Harper and Wyatt Bostic; sisters, Debbie Sessions and husband, Tommy of Aiken, SC and Arlene Canterbury and husband, Bob of Lewisburg; brother, Keith McCormick and wife, Sheila of Lewisburg and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
