Obituary for Alvin Leo Bradshaw Alvin Leo Bradshaw
Former Hercules Supervisor Dies At Age 80

On Thursday, February 28, 2019, Alvin Leo Bradshaw, loving husband and father of three, passed away at the age of 80.

Mr. Bradshaw was born May 24, 1938 in Monroe County, WV, the son of Rebecca Arnon Craft Bradshaw and the late Richard Roscoe Bradshaw.

A lifelong member of this community, Leo married Ada Catherine May in July, 1959 and raised three sons, Ricky, Marty and Jay.

He was employed as a Supervisor of Dept C by the former Hercules before retiring from Radford Arsenal on March 1, 1996.

Leo loved to work. Also he loved to be outdoors with his family and friends. Mr. Bradshaw was a lifelong hunter and enjoyed old country, gospel and bluegrass music.

Leo was a member of Pinnell Chapel Methodist Church.

Mr. Bradshaw is survived by his mother, Rebecca Bradshaw; his brother, Eugene and his family; his sister, Linda Scott and her family; his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Ada Catherine May Bradshaw; his loving sons, Rick, Marty and wife, Robyn and his children, Chelsea and Leanne, Jay and wife, Mary and his children, Jerimiah, Jayme, Jordyn, Joel, Jacob and his daughter, Kenlynn; and a multitude of family and friends with special mention to other family, David and Cherie Brown, Vickie, Derrick and his wife, Rachael and Dustin Bray.

In addition to his father, Mr. Bradshaw was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Bradshaw.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bradshaw, Eddie Urban, Mick Ratliff, Tim Cox, Errol Moates, Rick Bradshaw, Jay Bradshaw and Marty Bradshaw.

The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Pinnell Chapel Methodist Church, 205 Summit Drive, Covington, VA 24426. Arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home; www.lovingfuneralhome1913.com.
