Mary Lee Lynn Mutispaugh, 91, of Buena Vista, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2019.

She was born July 26, 1927 to Charles Lynn and Laura Shanks Lynn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Mutispaugh, and 12 siblings. She was the last surviving member of her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Lawhorne and husband, Larry; granddaughters Beth Cullen (Mike), Stephanie Higgins (E.J.) and Robyn Lawhorne; five great-grandchildren, Brenden and Aaron Plogger, Sydney and Allie Cullen, and Emma Higgins; and several nieces and nephews to whom she was the "favorite" aunt.

Mary was a life-long member of First Brethren Church.

She loved babies and children and always saw the beauty in the people she met.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13 at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home.

A funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by Pastors Mike Hamilton and Butch Grow. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family requests that in honor of her memory that you perform an act of beauty or an act of kindness. Contributions may also be made to St. Jude's, the SPCA, or a children's charity.

A special thank-you to the doctors, nurses and caregivers who provided loving care during her later years.
