Obituary for Randolph Franklin LaRue III Randolph Franklin LaRue III
Buena Vista Resident Worked With Blue Bird

Randolph Franklin LaRue III, 76, of Buena Vista, Virginia died Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born June 23, 1942 in Washington D.C., he was a son of the late Randolph Franklin LaRue Jr. and Mildred Carr LaRue.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Cynthia and Linda.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Randolph was employed by Blue Bird until its closing and then retired from McQuay.

He loved to hunt and fish, and was a skilled musician, who was talented on many instruments.

Surviving are his children, Lisa L. Hostetter of Raphine, Destry LaRue of Natural Bridge Station and Crystal LaRue, of Lexington; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Ron Cash officiating. Burial will be private.

Friends may gather with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
