Mrs. Nereida (Nettie) Cale, age 78, of Covington, Virginia died on Monday, April 1, 2019.

She was the wife of the late Alvin Bernard Cale.

Mrs. Cale was born May 6, 1940, the daughter of the late Amelia Morales.

She was employed as an administrative professional by Dabney S. Lancaster Community College. Nettie enjoyed health and fitness education and also taught some courses including yoga at the college.

Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Cale is survived by four children, Zella Pennington, Bruce Cale and wife, Sherry, Tammy Woods and husband, Rick and David Cale and wife, Susan; ten grandchildren, Stephen Cale and wife, Raven, Jonathan Cale, Joshua Cale, Emily Cale, Austin Cale, Tyler Cale, Christian Cale, Trevor Barnett, Brittany Thrasher and husband, Richard, Zach Woods and Meghan Brown; and two great grandchildren, Aria Cale and Killian Cale.

A private funeral service will be held at a later time.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
